Frank Aquino

Frank Aquino was born in the coal mining town of Collie, Western Australia, the youngest son of Italian migrants. He studied science at the West Australian Institute of Technology and at UWA, majoring in Geology. His first job in the petroleum industry was as a trainee mud engineer working on rigs in the USA, from the freezing Rocky Mountains of Utah to the steamy bayous of Louisiana. His last job before becoming a writer was Manager of Drilling Engineering for one of Australia’s largest oil and gas companies.

Frank now lives and writes in Perth full time. His exciting thriller series, featuring the can-do hero, Ed Bailey, are authentically enriched by his own offshore knowledge and worldwide experiences. The first in the series - Australian Coup - blends politics, petroleum and terrorism into the fascinating world of offshore petroleum exploration. He has also written engaging and entertaining narratives dealing with rarely discussed issues that are relevant to our time, from Christian extremism (The Stone Testament), to voluntary euthanasia (The Fremantle Doctor). His books are exciting, thought provoking and hugely entertaining.

Frank Aquino publishes in Australia through Blencowe Books® and internationally through Lulu.com and CreateSpace.com, a division of Amazon.com.
